Prior to getting in touch, here are some useful guidelines in relation to a Solar PV installation:
Is my home suitable for Solar PV panels?
The first thing you need to determine when considering a solar PV panel installation is whether your roof is suitable. Your roof should ideally be south facing but a successful solar panel installation can be achieved on a roof that is either south-east or south-west facing. Solar PV installations are not recommended on a roof that is north facing. You will also need to consider the amount of shading your roof is subject to. Too much shading from nearby trees or other obstructions mean a solar PV installation would not be recommended. Lastly, consider the age and strength of your roof as solar panels are heavy. We would be happy to advise whether a solar PV installation is right for you.
Solar PV installation process:
We can advise you of the best options based on your needs including any additional technology you may wish to consider such as a solar battery storage system that works alongside your PV panels to provide greater energy efficiency and savings.
Then it will be time to book your installation. If scaffolding is required to allow your solar PV installer to access your roof safely whilst they install the frames and the panels themselves this will be erected first. The installation process usually takes 1-3 days and you will be without power for a couple of hours during this time. After the installation we will connect your solar panels to the grid and get you up and running. We will also talk you through any necessary maintenance and provide you with all the relevant documentation.
If you are interested in generating your own energy and making savings on your energy bill, then please get in touch using the contact methods above. We are here to help you start your Solar PV journey.
