John did a fantastic job considering the bad state of the walls and ceiling. Arrived early and worked straight through until the job was finished. Already asked him to come again and do some more work for us. Overall a very accomplished plasterer at a very fair price!

John Cranston of Cranston Plastering has just completed the skimming of the walls in the hall, stairs, landing and utility room of my old artex covered house, and has done a fantastic job.

He worked hard from the moment he got here, and over the course of roughly 2.5 days, he never stopped. The quality of his workmanship is first class, and now I have beautifully smooth walls ready for decorating.

John was also a pleasure to have in the house, and is a genuinely nice guy. His quote was also very reasonable.

Punctual on arriving to view the work and to complete the work. Quote provided in good time. Work was carried out quickly and the end result is good. Offered advice on painting over new plastering without being asked. Used floor coverings well and left no mess to be cleaned up afterwards. The price was reasonable and I would use him again.

The work was carried out quickly and professionally and the end result is brilliant. John tidied up the inevitable mess that lath and plaster produces and we felt we paid a fair price for the work. His communication beforehand was good, he always responded promptly to my many questions and was very polite and chatty when he came to the house.

John was a delight to deal with, from first communication through ti estimate on site to completion of job. Removing render is a very messy job, but John ensured that at the end of each day, the area was swept and was clean and tidy. The reason that it had cracked was due to a crack in the main brickwork (the original building work was not very good) and John was honest, helpful and knowledgeable and made me aware that there were no guarantees that it could potentially crack again in the future. He didn't try to hide anything and kept me informed throughout the the job.

He did an excellent job, great value for money and I have no hesitation in recommending him to anyone.
