Tradeframe beat the nearest quote by a long way and I was impressed when they let me place an order on a property I didn't even own. They did not ask for any signed contract up-front and acted on good will to manufacture the doors and window.
While the installation was pretty much trouble free, the deadline for delivery of the front door (which was a special colour) was not met twice. When I contacted the company to compain about a scratched unit, it was replaced immediately and without question and dark brown hinges were exchanged for caramel coloured ones as soon as I asked. I did have a problem with the front door as I could not always turn the key when it was shut and after a long period of time waiting for a visit from the installer, I still don't have a properly working door. When I close the door the internal mechanism bounces back, stopping the key from turning on occasion. I was a little annoyed by the advice that to overcome the problem I should learn to shut the door differently! This is a problem that still exists however I intend to look at this myself when I have time.
All things considered, apart from a few delays and some minor quality issues I thought the whole process went rather well. Sadly the after care service did not fare so well. I was contacted a few months after the installation to be asked in no uncertain terms why I was withholding payment. I pointed out that I wasn't holding back any payments but the door still wasn't working properly and no one had asked for the money, which I paid after being told the company values customer satsifaction and that they would always support a repair.
So all went quiet and I received no follow up (not that I was expecting one) and after querying the location of my Fensa certificate was treated very rudely over the phone and told that as it was sent to another address, I would have to get another one at a cost of £12 from Fensa. I stated that my contract was with Tradeframe and that they should provide me with the certificate. The reply was that I had one, it just wasn't at my address!!!! When I confirmed with Fensa if they would send the replacement (which was free) to my home address, the lady on the phone at Fensa said "of course, why would we send it anywhere else?".
I have of course marked Tradeframe down to 8 out of 10 for puncutality and even though my door is not quite fixed, I accept some repsonsibility for that for not following it up with the company, who I believe would respond well. As there is no rating for post delivery customer services or politeness, understanding or customer focus when dealing with the Admin staff I have marked down the score on Quality to a 4 - a reflection of how disappointed I am that this area of the business didn't live up to the rest.

C. Green (double glazing specialist) fitted the above on behalf of Tradeframe, therefore it is both that I am rating.
