Reviews of DJ Building Services

Our project was to add a large kitchen/diner extension and extensively refurbish the rest of our bungalow. This required a wide range of building skills that you would expect for such a project, all of which were performed by DJ Building Services in a very professional manner and with great results.

A lot of the work was carried out during the covid pandemic (2021-2022) which added extra challenges to the project, which were handled well.

We added a few extra jobs along the way (e.g. block paving the drive and back garden) and they were also completed professionally and on time. All the projects came in on budget so there were no surprises on the financial front. Additionally, the work was all done at very competitive prices.

Finally, Dave and his team are friendly and professional and easy to get along with. We are very satisfied with the end result!

Dave was first class from the moment he and his team started on site through to final completion. He is honest, honourable and adaptable, willing to work with you to get the right result. As with every build, there are always unseen problems but Dave always handled them with a steady hand and no drama.

He runs a small but quality team who worked through the coldest days of winter to get the job completed. 

I cannot recommend him highly enough and will be using him, Adam and Tom again on our next project.

And another testament to the quality of his work and his can-do mentality: at least four neighbours approached him about work for them.

Work carried out mostly while we were away. Very trustworthy, sent us pictures via phone to show us what they had done daily. 

Very pleasant guys. Got the job done quickly with minimum disruption and alway cleaned up before leaving. 

Garage came down quickly, only holdups were waiting for deliveries which was out of Dave's hands. They worked cleanly and efficiently clearing up as they went on. I am very pleased with the result, it has completely transformed my back garden. Communication was always good with Dave and his team. They listen to what you want, offer suggestions and improvements based on their expertise (they suggested using the original conservatory entrance as side door to the garage, which works well).

I came back to them because I was happy with last year's extension and I am very happy with this job too.

Excellent service with great communication, prompt, tidy, able to explain work and offer alternative solutions. Great focus on supporting the customer to achieve final outcomes with an eye on the practical issues. We are very happy with Dave and his team and will recommend to others.

Dave and his team did a thorough job. One or two things changed along the way, but that did not present a problem with them. They kept the working area clean and tidy, and cleaned up each day before they left. They constantly communicated with me to ensure I got what I wanted. They also booked reliable electricians, which I found very reassuring. I am very pleased with the end result and we are now sorting out the rebuilding of my garage.

I contacted Dave about a leaking chimney, the issue wasnt obvious and as we didn't use it therefore I asked Dave to remove it (I felt bad as I was chatting to him on Christmas eve).

He turned up when he said he would, took the chimney down, took all the rubbish away and cleaned up. There was one small hitch but he came back straightaway to fix it. Really pleased with the work and would definitely use again.

The quality of the finished work was second to none and I would highly recommend Dave and Adam for any building work requirements.

He and his son provided a good quality service at a good price. Dave was very easy to talk to and he consulted with me about any issues that cropped up before progressing. He was tidy during the work and removed all rubbish after the job. A nice worker. I would certainly use him again and recommend to others.
