Summary:
Installation of Mains powered smoke detectors
Comments:
We recently called on Old Court Electrical to install some mains powered smoke detectors for us since our old battery powered ones had been broken for some time and we figured it was time we entered the 21st Century. Lee from Old Court Electrical turned up on time on the day specified and from the start was well mannered and completely professional. He even insisted on removing his shoes even though I said there was no need.
The work was carried out with a minimum of disruption even though floorboards had to be lifted and holes had to be drilled.
After the job was completed, all furniture was put back exactly where it belonged, all floor coverings were replaced and Lee even insisted in vacuuming up after himself. You could not tell that Lee had even been there when he finished except for 2 new shiny smoke detectors in place of the old ones.
In fact, the new detectors are that good that they do not constantly go off when I cook fried food (and I cook a lot of fried food) unlike the previous battery powered things that seemed to go off at the slightest bit of cooking.
For price and service I give Old Court Electrical a rating of 11 out of 10 and I would not hesitate to recommend Old Court Electrical to anyone who needs an efficient, good value, courteous and professional electrician service.

Having spoken to David Sterry-Blunt about a problem with our office lighting and the adjacent outdoor security light he was quick to arrange an appointment even though I understand that he was extremely busy at the time.
I'm pleased to say David arrived at our premises promptly and then efficiently and professionally carried out the works to a high standard, in fact he also noticed that the outdoor security light we had purchased in advance as a replacement had been ‘wired' incorrectly at the factory so he rewired that too.
I was very impressed with Old Court Electrical and would recommend your services to others without hesitation.

David attended at the time arranged, and proceeded to offer excellent service. During the diagnosis of the fault he discussed with me what he was doing, and explained in detail the issue he found.
As parts were needed, he arranged a time to return to complete the work, and provided a safe way to use the oven during this time.
