Nigel's work, with his son, Conner, was outstanding. Nigel so obviously loved the materials he worked with, especially the wood. He built oak worksurfaces, oiled and sanded them many times until they were as smooth as silk and as shiny as our faces have been during this summer of 2018!  Nigel was creative and relished solving the problems that always occur in such a project. For example he adapted a cupboard ingeniously to fit around our boiler and he constructed a cross between a table and an island. All the work, without exception was excellent. Nigel and Conner are totally trustworthy and were always friendly, cheerful and a pleasure to have around even given we had no working kitchen for 2 weeks. Nigel inspired his fellow workmen to give of their best and all treated the work as a service to satisfy our needs, in improving our home. It was not just a job to Nigel and his team. We unreservedly recommend him and his team. Thank you.

Nigel and his team are the real deal and they are seriously good at what they do. Anyone can score maximum points for punctuality and tidiness, but it takes an experienced and professional craftsman to fit kitchen worktops with invisible joins. Furthermore, it takes expert carpentry skills to install wall to wall / ceiling to floor wardrobes and not make the finished article look like an add on to the original room.

Crescent Carpentry came to me as a recommendation and I am delighted to be able to endorse that recommendation. Their rates are extremely competitive and realistic. Nigel made it clear from the start that the quotation would not change and neither would he leave my home until I was satisfied and happy with the work done. That is exactly what happened. Without pressure, time constraints and fuss the guys delivered and always with politeness and good humour.

It has taken me years to find my "Dream Team"; thank you Nigel and the lads. I look forward to seeing you in the autumn when you return to fit my composite front door and internal oak doors. 

Nigel provided a service of seeing the project from the beginning to completion, calling on his team of experts in their field. When the trades were required, Nigel was always on-site to oversee and ensure everything went to plan.

The standard of his working force was outstanding and very conscientious of mess and not on any occasion did I come home from work and see any tools or materials left out.

I was constantly updated on progress even when Nigel was not on site.

An extremely reliable and professional company and would recommend to anyone. I didn't have to worry about anything. This was the beauty of the whole project - handing him the plans and dealing with the requirements.

I met with Nigel a few times to discuss what I would like to see in my new kitchen. He gave me advice and guidance to help me choose the cupboards, sink and taps, appliances and worktops. He also supplied the lighting, flooring and wall tiles.

Once the plan was drawn and a date agreed, Nigel then arranged the programme of works and all the trades needed i.e., electrician, plumber, gas fitter, tiler etc. As Nigel was project managing my new kitchen I decided to go on holiday for two weeks and gave him the keys to the house. He kept in-touch while I was away and even sent photos showing the different stages of the works.

When I returned, Nigel suggested a supplier for a large coloured glass splashback and even helped me to order it on-line. We also decided there was a small space for a breakfast bar which Nigel made with the same material as the worktops.

I'm very happy with my new kitchen. Even though I have much more storage and surface space, the room seems bigger and brighter.

I would recommend Nigel, not only as a carpenter and builder but also a project manager. No hassle, just leave it all in his capable hands.

We had been looking to replace some old fitted wardrobe doors for sometime but were not really clear on what the best option would be. Nigel was able to advise on possible solutions and when we selected the sliding doors he recommended a supplier where we could view them before buying and then sourced them for us.

He and Connor arrived promptly and worked flat out all day. He built a a new frame for the doors over the existing front and installed the new doors and surrounding timber, He is also replaced the clothes rail with something far more robust and a lot nicer to look at. 

Some of the plaster within the wardrobe was a bit cracked and he repaired this for us over and above the quoted work for no additional charge. 

We are delighted with the new look wardrobe which has completely transformed the room. All work was undertaken to a very high standard and the room was left completely clean. We would absolutely recommend Nigel without hesitation - it is easy to see why he is kept busy!

Nigel arranged and project managed all aspects of the build which came in on time, on budget and to a really high standard. He is not only a brilliant carpenter and builder but also a genuinely lovely guy to have around, taking the time to get to know us and making practical and useful suggestions along the way.

We wouldn't hesitate to recommend Nigel and his team and hope to have them all back in the near future for another project.

Nigel met us at the house to discuss what we wanted, measured up, bought and installed a bannister that both matches what we wanted and looks fantastic.

Kitchen and utility room completely taken out and transformed. Nigel has yet again done a fantastic job for us, with loads of advice and would recommend him to anyone that we know. We were at work most of the time, but Nigel kept us up to date as to what was going on and what was due to happen all the way through. What an amazing transformation, Nigel has turned our nightmare build, by a previous builder, into our dream home. After many months of anguish Nigel came to our rescue and reassured us that the job could be done in a timely manner, to a high standard and consult us every step of the way, this is exactly what he did. Nothing was too much trouble, he arrived on time and worked with us to create a stunning open plan kitchen/lounge/dining area. Although he had never fitted the German kitchen that we had ordered, this did not faze him in the slightest and the finished kitchen was fitted to very high standard, looks like a showroom kitchen to be honest. Although Nigel does much of the work himself, the tradesman he brings in have the same work ethic as he does, therefore the work was kept on schedule and we really enjoyed the banter and again all the work was done to a very high standard. I would not hesitate to recommend Nigel for any job, if you want a fantastic finish and hassle free build, he is your man.
