Christmas Tree Removal and Recycle on behalf of Sue Ryder Hospice
DECEMBER is racing away with us – and before we know it, Santa will have delivered his presents, the turkey (and the leftovers) will have been eaten and many of us will be faced with the issue of disposing of our real Christmas tree.
So – if you are miles ahead of schedule with your seasonal planning, are modestly organised or have still to start your festive preparations (and that includes buying your real tree), here is a scheme that will make your life easier come the new year.
Nene Valley Tree Services and Safe Local Trades have teamed up with Sue Ryder Thorpe Hall Hospice to offer a collection service in aid of the worthy local good cause.
This will be a busy service, so residents are urged to book their collection early to avoid any disappointment.
A number of our Safe Local Trades members have already kindly volunteered to collect trees from homes around the city, a service which unfortunately Peterborough City Council no longer provides.
Trees will be collected in return for a donation to Sue Ryder, with all trees being chipped by Nene Valley Tree Services; the mulch will then be used on gardens, farms and green spaces around the city – a win win situation for all.
