Rogue Gardener in Dogsthorpe, Peterborough
A cold-caller knocked on the door of an elderly lady in Dogsthorpe, Peterborough, offering to do some garden work which consisted of cutting back and tidying up. He quoted a price and then asked for the same price again to take away the debris. The elderly victim was left very upset, with a lot of garden waste to dispose of by herself.
Please be cautious; Trading Standards advise never to employ anyone who calls at your door offering this kind of work - you do not know who they are and whether they are genuine or not.
