Wet room specialist showered with praise from grateful customers

CUSTOMER satisfaction is key for Safe Local Trades - so when our members receive high praise, we like to share it with you.

Bathroom installer and adaptions specialist Kevin Carvell from Eastern Adaptations was showered with praise following a recent wet room project for local couple Michael and Maureen Waller.

Kevin – who works in partnership with Safe Local Services member Bentley Nursing Supplies - helps to change the lives of many people - primarily those of an older generation – affected in some way by mobility issues which require them to adapt to a new way living on a daily basis.

Among the many customers to benefit from the work, as an indirect result of a meeting a few years ago with SLT director Eileen Le Voi, are the Wallers.

Michael Waller said: “Eileen came and did a talk to us at the Rotary Club many years ago and since then I have only every used SLT members and have been impressed with them all and most importantly, I can trust them.

“I invited Eileen back to the Rotary Club in 2015 to do another talk as we had several new members. I wouldn’t go anywhere else when sourcing tradespeople.”

With his wife Maureen’s health declining, Mr Waller has been using Bentley Nursing Supplies for a number of years, but recently reached the stage where they decided to get the downstairs cloakroom converted into a wet room.

Mr Waller explained: “Bentley is in partnership with Eastern Adaptations and, as soon as I saw that Kevin had the SLT sticker on his work vehicle, I didn’t look anywhere else. From the outset, when I met Kevin, I trusted him immediately; I always pride myself in being a good judge of character and felt confident in his knowledge and expertise – making the decision was so easy with Kevin. When the work began last month, we went away and put a key into the safe hands of Kevin.

“We are over the moon with the result. Kevin was true to his word and he didn’t look like a disabled wet-room; all the fittings, including sink and toilet were mindfully chosen and are contemporary but most importantly, geared up for Maureen’s needs. Attention to detail. We could not recommend Kevin highly enough – he epitomises Trust and Honesty. He is passionate about what he does and always ‘cares’. He also is passionate about differentiating himself from the cowboys who carry out adaptations but do not have the expert knowledge that Kevin’s experience has given him.”
